Picture frame arrangement ideas for 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 9 frames, with wall sizes, 5–8 cm spacing, and matching Framky photo gallery wall kits.
A picture frame arrangement on a wall is a counted layout with a known size. Pick 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 or 9 frames first, then a Framky kit whose width and height fit the rectangle you measured. Gaps stay at 5–8 cm unless the kit is a wide grid of identical squares. Each kit below is a complete photo gallery wall: matched MDF frames, prints of your photos, a 1:1 paper template, and self-adhesive hangers.
This page answers "how do I arrange N frames?" For a gallery above a sofa, use the living room gallery wall ideas guide. For measuring a wall and hanging from a template, use gallery wall layouts with sizes. For how many photos a wall can take, see how many photos in a gallery wall.
Every size is the footprint of the whole set, not of one frame. Frame formats are width first in centimetres, so 50×30 is landscape and 30×40 is portrait.

| 9 | Geometric Office L | grid | 225 × 195 cm | 55×55 (×9) |
| 9 | Patchwork Tableau M | collage | 177 × 129 cm | 45×60 (×2), 30×40, 30×30 (×2), 55×35, 35×45, 35×25, 40×25 |

Three frames need a clear hierarchy. Stepped Vista S puts a 55×70 on the left, a 30×40 top right, and a 50×30 under it. The set is 123 × 88 cm. That is a picture frame arrangement for a narrow wall or a two-seater. The gaps do most of the work, so use the 1:1 template rather than spacing by eye.
Four frames is the search people actually type. There are two proven shapes.
Collage. Layered Moments S is two 55×70 frames with a 35×25 beside each. The set is 121 × 114 cm, close to square. Hang it as one block. Keep 5–8 cm between frames. The two large formats carry the wall. The small ones fill the sides.
Grid. Geometric Office S is four 55×55 squares in two rows of two. The set is 140 × 125 cm. The squares sit farther apart than 5–8 cm, which is how four frames cover that rectangle. Use this when the four photos share a crop and a session.
How to arrange 4 picture frames on a wall in practice. Centre the 121 cm or 140 cm width on the wall. Put the bottom edge 15–20 cm above a sofa back if the wall is above a sofa (the sofa rule lives in the living-room guide). Tape the template, mark the hangers, peel it off. Do not build a 2×2 from four unmatched shop frames unless you can hold a 5–8 cm gap on every side.
Five frames want an odd centre.
Stair-step. Stepped Vista M puts the 55×70 in the middle, a 40×50 over a 30×30 on the left, and a 30×40 over a 50×30 on the right. The set is 181 × 98 cm and stays under 100 cm tall.
Collage. Organic Flow S has no centre line. A 50×65 sits right of centre, with 35×35 squares and one 35×50 around it. The set is 188 × 96 cm.
How to arrange 5 picture frames on a wall. Pick Stepped Vista M if you want a readable left-to-right step. Pick Organic Flow S if the photos mix portrait, landscape, and square. Both hang from a template. Both fit a low ceiling above furniture.

Six frames split cleanly into a grid or a collage.
Grid. Geometric Office M is six 55×55 squares in two rows of three. The set is 225 × 125 cm. The gaps are wider than 5–8 cm so the row can run along an office, a corridor, or a dining wall.
Collage. Layered Moments M is two 55×70 frames with two 35×45 and two 35×25 around them. The set is 173 × 136 cm, closer to square, so it fills height as well as width.
How to arrange 6 picture frames on a wall. Use the grid when every photo is the same format. Use the collage when you have two hero shots and four supporting ones. Six frames in a homemade 2×3 from mixed shop frames almost always shows a 1 cm slip. The kit template removes that.

Eight frames is Layered Moments grown sideways, or Organic Flow at full width.
Layered Moments L keeps the M collage and its 136 cm height and adds a 35×35 square at each end. The set is 213 × 136 cm.
Organic Flow L is 233 × 126 cm: two 50×65 portraits, three 50×35 landscapes, two 35×35 squares, and one 35×50. It is the widest arrangement in this list. Use it on a long wall, not on a short chimney breast.
Gaps stay at 5–8 cm. You do not measure them. They are printed on the template.
Nine frames is a 3×3 grid or a mixed collage.
Grid. Geometric Office L is nine 55×55 squares in three rows of three. The set is 225 × 195 cm. That height needs a tall wall. Do not hang it above a sofa under a low ceiling.
Collage. Patchwork Tableau M mixes 45×60, 30×40, 30×30, 55×35, 35×45, 35×25 and 40×25. The set is 177 × 129 cm, so it fits where Geometric Office L will not.

Keep 5–8 cm between frames on collage and stair-step kits. Closer looks cramped. Wider and the frames stop reading as one arrangement. Geometric Office is the exception. Its identical squares are designed with a larger gap so the grid can cover 140–225 cm of wall.
A grid reads as one block. A collage reads as one composition with a visual centre. Choose the grid when the photos belong together. Choose the collage when portrait and landscape sit in the same set.
Every kit hangs the same way.
The self-adhesive hangers do not damage the wall if the paint is firmly bonded to the plaster and the plaster is stable. On peeling paint or weak plaster use 2 nails in the inner corners of each frame (nails not included). The full method is in hanging photo frames without drilling.
The frames are MDF frames without glass. The photos are made with pigment printing with a set of 12 inks on matte photographic paper, with a rigid cardboard plate behind the print.
How to arrange 4 picture frames on a wall? Use a counted kit, not four frames bought one by one. Layered Moments S is a 121 × 114 cm collage of two 55×70 frames and two 35×25 frames. Geometric Office S is a 140 × 125 cm grid of four 55×55 squares. Centre the set, leave 5–8 cm between collage frames (the square grid uses a wider designed gap), and hang from the 1:1 template.
How to arrange 5 picture frames on a wall? Give five frames an odd centre. Stepped Vista M is 181 × 98 cm with a 55×70 in the middle. Organic Flow S is 188 × 96 cm with a 50×65 off-centre. Both stay under 100 cm tall, so they fit above furniture even where the ceiling is low.
How to arrange 6 picture frames on a wall? A 2×3 of mixed frames is the arrangement that shows every 1 cm slip. Geometric Office M is six 55×55 squares at 225 × 125 cm for a long wall. Layered Moments M is a 173 × 136 cm collage with two hero 55×70 frames. Pick one kit and transfer the template.
How much space should I leave between picture frames? 5–8 cm on collage and stair-step sets. Geometric Office squares sit farther apart by design. In a Framky kit the gaps are fixed on the 1:1 template, so you transfer them instead of measuring them.
How do I arrange 3, 8 or 9 picture frames? Three frames: Stepped Vista S at 123 × 88 cm. Eight frames: Layered Moments L at 213 × 136 cm or Organic Flow L at 233 × 126 cm. Nine frames: Geometric Office L at 225 × 195 cm (tall grid) or Patchwork Tableau M at 177 × 129 cm (collage). Footprints and templates for more counts, including 10, are in gallery wall layouts with sizes.
